All day Sunday, March 1st (while returning from a =carbon sequestering conference at Chico State) I was thinking about all the things we heard and trying to make sequestering carbon "sexy" (robbwolf.com/ as Robb Wolf said). Not wanting to minimize what any of the speakers brought to the conference, but here is where my mind has gone ... so far!
Minerals; Take ninety-two point two
Minerals “Take” ninety-two
I have changed the use of Ancient Sequestered salt on my farm from how I started out half a dozen years ago. Because of a change in the information since I last wrote on this subject, I felt it only proper that I update and pass along the most current information available.
O
The tetter-totter of our mineral/toxin problem is typically too few and out of balance minerals andtoo high of levels of more and more toxins.
The revised information is below…Thank You Steve Campbell
In an effort to get rid of all of the dirty minerals that were going into my mineral program led me “out of China” to naturally clean sequestered sources of minerals for my animals.
Gabe Brown and Natural Soil Fertility
The Idaho Center For Sustainable Agriculture had it's annual Conference on November 18th at the civic center in Nampa again this this year. Lots of good speakers and topics, not the least of which was Joel Salatin.
However, as a farmer trying to regenerate the soil, Gabe Brown's talk was the highlight for me.
A more "Natural" weaning and handling process
I just ran across a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPsw3VfjH8s) that explains what I have been doing for the past ten years at weaning time on my farm.
It is very amazing how "quiet" the weaning process is.
And a very nifty way to sort cows and calves can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4FUE-OrXRw.
And while we are on the topic of handling cattle, you really need to consider adding a Bud Box (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aniUeugrm8Y) to you handling facility.
An easy way to put up electric fence (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2y_YcqYd3E) I adapted a 4 wheeler similarly in 1989.
